Découvert par les chercheurs de Jamf, le virus MacSync utilise une application Swift signée avec un certificat de développeur officiel pour contourner Gatekeeper, le gardien de la sécurité d'Apple. Une fois installé, ce logiciel malveillant de type « infostealer » dérobe mots de passe, accès au trousseau iCloud, portefeuilles de cryptomonnaies et fichiers sensibles.
