MAKKAH — The Muslim World League (MWL) on Thursday welcomed the joint statement issued following the consultative ministerial meeting of Arab and Islamic foreign ministers in Riyadh, which addressed Iranian attacks across the region.In a statement, the League’s General Secretariat said Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa expressed full support for the outcomes of the meeting.Al-Issa reaffirmed the League’s strong condemnation of Iran’s blatant attacks on residential areas, civilian infrastructure, and diplomatic premises.He said such actions constitute violations of religious values as well as international law, norms, and humanitarian principles.The MWL chief also called on the international community to respond firmly to the escalation and to compel Iran to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2817.He further urged Tehran to halt the aggressive practices targeting neighboring countries, warning that such actions undermine regional and global security and stability.
