RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued multiple weather alerts across the Kingdom, warning of varied conditions ranging from light to heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, reduced visibility, and potential flash flooding between Sunday and Monday. The alerts, issued on Sunday, classify weather conditions under red, orange, and yellow warning levels. Red alerts have been issued for several regions, indicating severe weather conditions. Heavy rainfall is expected across parts of the Riyadh region, including Al-Aflaj, Al-Kharj, Al-Dalam, Al-Hariq, Al-Muzahimiyah, and Hawtat Bani Tamim, from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm onSunday, as well as Al-Sulayyil and Wadi Al-Dawasir during the same period. The Eastern Province is also under red alert, covering areas such as Al-Ahsa, Al-Uqair, Haradh, and Dhu’aybin from 1:00 pm on Sunday to 01:00 am on Monday, while Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif, and Ras Tanura are affected from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Monday. Similarly, red alerts extend to Asir, including Ahad Rafidah, Bisha, Tathlith, and surrounding areas, as well as Najran, including Najran city, Hubuna, Thar, Khabash, and Badr Al-Janoub, all from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Monday. These conditions are expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, near-zero to zero visibility, hail, thunderstorms, and a high risk of flash floods. Orange alerts indicate moderate rainfall and have been issued across parts of Riyadh, including Diriyah, the capital Riyadh, Rumah, and Durma from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, as well as Al-Sulayyil and Wadi Al-Dawasir from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm the same day. In the Eastern Province, moderate rain is forecast in Al-Khafji, Al-Nairyah, and Qaryat Al-Ulya from2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday. The Northern Borders region, including Rafha, is expected to be affected from 4:00 pm on Sunday until 04:00 am on Monday, while Turaif will see similar conditions from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm on Sunday. Al-Jouf — Al-Qurayyat and Tabarjalis forecast to experience moderate rainfall from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm on Sunday, while Tabuk — Tabuk and Tayma — will be affected from 08:00 am to 7:00 pm the same day These areas may see lgiht rainfall, strong winds, reduced to near-zero visibility, hail, thunderstorms, and localized flooding. Yellow alerts have been issued for lighter weather conditions in parts of Riyadh, including Thadiq, Huraymila, and Marat, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday. The NCM indicated that these areas may still experience active winds, reduced visibility, and possible thunderstorms despite the lower severity.
