JEDDAH — Thundery rain showers are forecast to persist over the coming days in Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, and Makkah regions, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM). This report is based on the NCM’s outputs from the Saudi Numerical Model and an animated map released by the NCM showing rainfall activity. After Sunday’s heavy showers in the south west of the Kingdom, Monday afternoon will see heavy rainfall along the south west again, affecting the border between Jazan and Asir. Most of west of Asir will see heavier rain and thunderstorms in Abha’s surrounding area, and spilling slightly into Al-Baha and south of Makkah. Rain will begin to lighten and eventually disappear by evening. On Tuesday afternoon, the rain will return, affecting the same areas as on Monday.
