MAKKAH — The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that the total number of visitors to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah reached 43,840,961during the first 10 days of Ramadan. These figures are based on operational indicators measuring total entries to prayer areas and Umrah performance.The authority stated that the Grand Mosque received 23,839,592 worshipers who performed the five daily prayers and Taraweeh, in addition to 8,110,498 Umrah pilgrims.It added that the Prophet’s Mosque recorded 10,789,467 worshipers performing the five daily prayers and Taraweeh, while 317,025 worshippers prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, and 784,379 visitors offered greetings to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two companions. The presidency affirmed that these figures reflect high operational readiness and an integrated service system provided to visitors during Ramadan, ensuring smooth movement and a safe and secure environment for worship.
