MAKKAH — The Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah have received a total of 96,638,865 worshipers since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. This was announced on Tuesday by the General Authority for the Care and Management of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. The Grand Mosque welcomed 57,595,401 worshipers for the five daily prayers and Qiyam prayers, in addition to 15,605,086 Umrah pilgrims, between Ramadan 1 and 20, according to operational indicators measuring overall entries to prayer areas and Umrah zones. At the Prophet’s Mosque, the authority recorded 21,143,259 visitors for the five daily prayers and Qiyam prayers. Meanwhile, 579,191 people prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, and 1,715,928 visitors offered greetings to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two companions. The authority said the figures reflect the high level of operational readiness and the integrated system of services provided to visitors at the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan, helping ensure smooth movement and a safe, spiritual environment for worship. The numbers also highlight the strong turnout of visitors to the two sacred mosques during Ramadan amid their deep spiritual significance.
