Saudi Gazette reportRIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone call with Kuwait's new Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Monday. During the call, Prince Faisal congratulated Sheikh Jarrah on his appointment as new foreign minister of Kuwait and wished him success. He expressed hope for collaborative efforts to strengthen the close fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as to enhance bilateral cooperation, and support joint Gulf initiatives. Several regional issues of mutual interest were also figured in their talks. Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has appointed on Monday new foreign and finance ministers in ‌a limited ‍cabinet ‍reshuffle, the ⁠state news agency Kuna reported. Emir Sheikh Mishal issued a decree that made changes to eight cabinet positions, including the appointment of Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Foreign Minister. Yaacoub Al-Refaie was named Finance Minister, while Osama Boodai was appointed Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Abdullah Bouftain becomes Minister of Information and Culture.
