RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held phone calls with foreign ministers of Oman, Egypt and Bahrain, as well as with a high ranking official of the European Union on Wednesday. Their talks mainly figured on the regional military escalation following the Iranian aggression on the Gulf States and Jordan. Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region and the efforts being made to address them. During the call, Prince Faisal and Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi discussed developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability. Prince Faisal expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting the Port of Salalah. He affirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman and its readiness to place all its capabilities to support any measures it may undertake to safeguard its security and the safety of its territory and citizens.The Saudi foreign minister received a phone call from Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty. They discussed the latest developments related to the ongoing crisis in the region and the efforts being made to preserve its security and stability. Prince Faisal also received a phone call from Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, during which they discussed the latest developments related to the military escalation in the region. The diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the crisis and preserving security and stability in the region also figured in their talks.
