WASHINGTON — Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Princess Reema bint Bandar met with Yemen’s ambassador and a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to discuss the Houthi threat to maritime security and freedom of navigation, as well as to the people of Yemen. During Princess Reema’s meeting with Ambassador Jamila Rajaa and United States Senator Steve Daines in Washington, D.C., the three officials discussed the Kingdom’s partnership with Yemen and its continued support for the Yemeni people. They also reaffirmed the importance of trilateral coordination to counter such threats and secure peace and stability in the region. According to a statement by Ambassador Rajaa on her official X account, she underscored the importance of the strategic partnership and continued Saudi support for Yemen, noting that achieving maritime and regional security and stability is closely linked to Yemen’s stability. The three sides also emphasized the importance of continued U.S. political and economic support for the Yemeni government and its reform program.
