Amid all the criticism related to the One UI 7.0 rollout delay, Samsung has been continuously rolling out the newest security update to its phones and tablets. The Galaxy S23 series is now getting the February 2025 security update, starting with the USA.
Samsung has released a new software update to the factory-unlocked Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra variants. The update comes with firmware version S91xU1UEU5CYB2 and includes the February 2025 security patch that fixes dozens of security loopholes discovered in the previous software version.
If you are a Galaxy S23 series user living in the USA, you can check for the update on your phone by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
You can also flash the new software manually by downloading the new firmware file from our database and using the Odin tool on a PC running Windows OS.
The Galaxy S23 series is expected to get the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in the next couple of months. Compared to Samsung's track record, the update has been delayed by more than four months.
