How many people are still using the Galaxy A52s that was released back in 2021? We can't know for sure, but we do know that it was one of the most popular mid-range devices of that year. Samsung has now released the first software update of the year for the Galaxy A52s.
This year's first Galaxy A52s software update is now available in Asian and European countries. It comes with firmware version A528BXXSAGYA2 and includes the January 2025 security patch that fixes dozens of security loopholes. It doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you are still rocking a Galaxy A52s, you can check for its latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
Alternatively, you can download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually using the Odin tool. You would need a computer running Windows OS for the processor. You also need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process.
The Galaxy A52s was launched with Android 11 out of the box. It received the Android 12 update in late 2021, the Android 13 update in late 2022, and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will not get the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. The phone is currently on a quarterly update schedule.
If you are thinking of upgrading from the Galaxy A52s, you should consider the Galaxy A55. Hit the link below to buy the Galaxy A55.
