While beta testers with the Galaxy A55 have received the One UI 7.0 beta update in some countries, others are about to get a new security update. The mid-range phone has started getting the April 2025 security update, and it could be the last security update before the stable One UI 7.0 update.
A new software update is rolling out to the Galaxy A55, and it brings the April 2025 security patch to the device. It comes with firmware version A556EXXS7AYC8 and is rolling out now in India. According to Samsung's security bulletin, this new patch fixes 56 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software versions. The update doesn't bring any new features or improvements.
If you have a Galaxy A55 and live in India, you can check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install on your device.
You can also choose to go with the manual firmware installation process. However, to do that, you need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process. You also need to download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it using the Odin tool running on PC with Windows OS.
