Samsung has started teasing the launch of an upcoming Galaxy F series smartphone in India. It is expected that the upcoming phone will be the Galaxy F16 5G, and it will likely be sold exclusively through Flipkart.
The South Korean firm teased an image that hints at a Galaxy F series phone. Samsung India shared the image on Flipkart's app. It mentions words like Fantastic, Fast, Fashionable, Foto, Fun, and Futuristic. The upcoming device is likely the Galaxy F16 5G, a variant of the Galaxy A16 5G.
The support webpage for the upcoming phone has also gone live on Samsung India's website, so it appears that the device could be launched soon.
A few weeks ago, the possible specifications of the Galaxy F16 5G were reported. The phone is said to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It could have a 50MP primary rear camera and a 13MP selfie camera. Details about the two other rear cameras aren't known right now.
It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300+ processor, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. It could also have a microSD card slot for storage space expansion. A 5,000mAh or 6,000mAh battery could power the phone and have 25W fast charging.
The upcoming phone could run One UI 7.0 out of the box and get six major Android OS updates.
