Last week, Samsung launched a new entry-level smartphone in the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A17 5G. Well, it looks like the brand is now developing Galaxy F and Galaxy M versions of that phone, the Galaxy F17 5G and the Galaxy M17 5G.
Google Play Console has listed the Galaxy F17 5G and Galaxy M17 5G with model numbers SM-E176B and SM-M176B respectively (via TheTechOutlook). It confirms that Samsung is developing the two devices. It also lists specifications of the latter.
First and foremost, Google Play Console says that the Galaxy M17 5G is the Galaxy A17 5G. In other words, both devices are the same. The specifications that the platform mentions for the Galaxy M17 5G further strengths that claim.
According to it, the Galaxy M17 5G has a display with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution, Exynos 1330 SoC, and Android 15 (One UI 7.0), which is also what the Galaxy A17 5G offers. The listing also shows Galaxy A17 5G’s image for Galaxy M17 5G.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t list Galaxy F17 5G’s features. However, expect that phone to have the same set of specifications and its Galaxy A and Galaxy M-branded siblings. Samsung may most likely sell it exclusively via India’s Flipkart. Considering that Samsung has started getting the two phones certified, their development seems complete, and it may them very soon.
