Samsung recently started teasing the Galaxy M36 in India. However, two days ahead of its launch, the company has launched the same phone in its home country as the Galaxy Jump 4. It is available exclusively via the Korea Telecom's (KT) network and gives us a better idea as to what to expect from the Galaxy M36.
The Galaxy Jump 4 is available for South Korean consumers via KT's network. It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That is not too different from the Galaxy Jump 3's 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-V display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
While the Galaxy Jump 3 was equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 888 chip, its successor uses the much more tepid Exynos 1380 chip. Although the Exynos chip is made using the same 5nm LPE process from Samsung Foundry, it is slower than the Snapdragon 888 in both CPU and GPU performance. The new phone has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
It runs Android 15 (One UI 7.0) out of the box and will get six major Android OS updates. It supports Circle To Search from Google.
The phone has a 12MP primary rear camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie camera. It can record 4K 30fps videos from its primary rear and front cameras. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging (USB PD PPS). It has a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint reader and NFC with Samsung Wallet support.
The Galaxy Jump 4 comes in two colors—Black and Light Green—and is priced at KRW 449,900 (~$332).
KT is offering a special case and set of three stickers featuring the ‘Mint Raon' cat character for the first 25,000 buyers. Those who choose a 5G plan will get a 7% discount on their monthly fee for up to two years. Buyers will also get Samsung's genuine accessories and a special gift package.
KT has prepared a 365 Phone Care service plan which includes compensation for damage, protection against hacking and phishing damages, and assistance in phone repair and replacement. While this subscription usually costs KRW 5,900 (~$4.36) per month, Galaxy Jump 4 buyers will have to pay only KRW 3,800 (~$2.81) per month. Those who buy the phone by August 31, 2025 will also get travel insurance for free.
Thank you for the tip!
