The Galaxy S21 FE has started receiving a new software update. This month's security update is available in several Asian countries.

Galaxy S21 FE gets February 2025 security update

The latest software update for the Galaxy S21 FE is now rolling out. It brings the February 2025 security patch and fixes several security loopholes that were discovered in the previous software version.

The update comes with firmware version G990EXXSCFYB3 and is available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Other countries and regions could soon get the same update, but the firmware version could differ depending on the market.

If you have a Galaxy S21 FE and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install on your phone.

You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. You need a Windows OS computer and the Odin firmware flashing tool to follow that process.

The Galaxy S21 FE was launched in 2022 with Android 12 onboard. It received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will likely get the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in the next few weeks.
