Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy S23 series in the European region. Yesterday, the same update was released to the Galaxy S23 series in the USA. Other countries and regions could soon get the update as well.
The new software update, which is available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in Europe, comes with firmware version S91xBXXU8CYB4. The update brings the February 2025 security patch that brings several security shortcomings discovered in the previous software version.
The update has a download size of around 600MB. Even though the official changelog doesn't mention it, the update may also include some bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and live in Europe, you can now check for the new software update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also flash the new firmware manually by downloading the appropriate firmware file from our database and flashing it manually.
Samsung hasn't released the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update to the Galaxy S23 series, and the update isn't expected for at least the next few weeks. The Galaxy S23 series was launched with Android 13 onboard and received the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will get updated up to Android 17.
Thank you for the tip, Marcin Zawadzki!
