The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra have started getting new software updates. These updates bring the stable version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17). It marks the end of the new software's beta program.
Currently, the updates are live in Samsung's home country, South Korea. The one for the Ultra units enrolled in the beta program is 480.29MB in size and carries firmware version S928NKSU6EZIF (via Tarun Vats).
Samsung should release the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S24 series in more countries over the next few days. To get notified when the global rollout begins, follow our channel on Telegram or WhatsApp. You can check its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
While One UI 9.0 isn't as big of an upgrade as One UI 8.5 was, it does bring substantial changes. You get more options to customize the Quick Panel, upgraded Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, enhancements to accessibility features, and a location privacy indicator. You can watch them in action in our video below.
