Android phones, especially from Google and Samsung, have started getting more than 5 years of software update support. It is good to have a better idea about battery health if you are keeping the phone for long. The Galaxy S25 is the first phone to offer extensive battery health data.
Google introduced extensive battery health information with Android 14. However, Samsung didn't implement it in One UI 6.0. Now, it appears that the company has implemented that feature in the Galaxy S25 running One UI 7.0.
The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra can display the following battery health information
However, this feature may not be available in all countries. Some Galaxy S25 series phones we used displayed extensive battery health information, while others didn't.
Maybe some phones haven't received the required firmware update to display battery health information. It is also possible that the Galaxy S25 might display the new battery information in select countries or regions.
Watch what One UI 7.0 brings with the Galaxy S25 in the video below.
It isn't clear if this feature will come to older Galaxy devices with a future software update. We think it is likely that the ability to display extensive battery health information might not come to older devices.
