Samsung is rolling out a new software update to its clamshell foldable smartphone from 2021, the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It brings the January 2025 security patch. This month’s security update fixes a lot of issues, which you can check out here, making the device more secure than before.
The South Korean tech giant has released the update for the international version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 as well as to the carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked versions of the phone for the US, which have model numbers SM-F711B, SM-F711U, and SM-F711U1 respectively. The new update changes their firmware versions to F711BXXSBIXLA, F711USQSAJXLA, and F711U1UESAJXLA.

If you own any of the variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 mentioned above, Samsung will send a notification on your phone about the latest update. You can click on it and tap on Download and install to get it. If not, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also get those firmware files from our database and install them on your phone manually using Odin.
Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S25 series, which brings Android 15-based One UI 7.0. it will release the new software to eligible devices, which includes Galaxy Z Flip 3, in the next few weeks. Follow our channel on Telegram/WhatsApp to get notified when the update rolls out.
