Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which was announced a few weeks ago, will bring many improvements to the Galaxy S25 series.

It will not only bring massively improved CPU and GPU performance but also custom technologies that can improve the overall gaming experience.

Galaxy S25 rumored to be able to run 60Hz games to 120Hz for smoother gaming

According to a claim from tipster Jukanlosreve, the Galaxy S25 series will be able to offer game frame interpolation using Qualcomm's Adreno Frame Motion Engine (AFME) 2.0 technology. It can make games which are limited to a 60Hz refresh rate (or 60fps) to run at a 120Hz high refresh rate (or 120fps).

It could also use Qualcomm's Snapdragon Game Super Resolution feature to upscale the game's actual resolution to a higher resolution without straining resources.

These improvements are reportedly part of Samsung's Game Assist feature. Turning it on will improve the game's resolution and frame rate, which usually results in less heat.

It was earlier expected that Samsung would use the Exynos 2500 processor in the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+ and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

However, multiple reports have now claimed that Samsung has canceled its plan to use the Exynos chip and has decided to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in all three Galaxy S25 series phones.
