Right after launching the Galaxy S25 series globally at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California, Samsung launched it in India. It is offering the most compact device of the lot, the Galaxy S25, in the country in two memory configurations, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. Well, the brand seems to have just launched another memory configuration of the Galaxy S25 in India.
On X/Twitter, @yabhishekhd has posted an image of what looks like a notice from Samsung launching the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy S25 in India. It also mentions that the dealer price of the device is INR 73,999 and the list price of the phone is INR 74,999. While that’s great news for people who wished that the Galaxy S25 had a lower price tag or didn’t need 256GB storage, there’s a catch.
Abhishek claims that the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy S25 has UFS 3.1 storage, which, in theory, should be slower than the UFS 4.0 storage on the other memory configurations of the smartphone. A slower storage could result in slower data transfer speeds and therefore, slower performance. However, the difference might be marginal. We just hope that it doesn’t affect 8K or 4K/120fps video recording.
Check out our hands-on video of the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus below.
At the moment, there’s no information about where can you get the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy S25. We checked Samsung’s official website and it still lists only the other two memory configurations of the device. Hopefully, we will get to know those details in the next few hours.
