After rumors of an iPhone 17 Slim surfaced a few months ago, a report claimed that Samsung is also working on a slimmer version of the Galaxy S25. At first, it seemed like one of those rumors that are far from the truth. However, it now appears that the Galaxy S25 Slim exists.
A few hours ago, a Samsung smartphone with model number SM-S937U was spotted in the IMEI database. This unannounced smartphone seems to be a higher-specced device than the Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936U). It is expected to be the Galaxy S25 Slim, which was rumored earlier.
Now, popular tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) claimed that the Galaxy S25 Slim exists and has an “Ultra” camera. At first glance, this may lead you to believe that the cameras on the Galaxy S25 Slim are similar to those on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, it might only use the Galaxy S25 Ultra's primary camera.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to feature a 200MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom), and a 50MP super-telephoto camera (5x optical zoom). The Galaxy S25 Slim might use the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 200MP primary rear camera.
This is similar to how the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition only used the primary 200MP camera from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, while the rest of the cameras remained similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The other cameras on the Galaxy S25 Slim could be similar to the Galaxy S25+, which uses a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom). On the front, all Galaxy S25 series phones could feature a 12MP selfie camera.
