Samsung Wallet may seem like a core component of the global Galaxy experience for everyone, but that is not the case. The availability of Samsung Wallet varies by region, but the good news is that the service will soon expand to satisfy more customers.
Today, Samsung announced that its Wallet app and service will be available in three more European countries starting February 7. Not by accident, the Galaxy S25 series is supposed to leave its pre-order period behind and officially go on sale on the same day.
The three European markets in question are Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, which form the politico-economic union Benelux.
Galaxy S25 users in this region will soon have access to Samsung Wallet and its benefits. Wallet users can store digital keys, access tickets, and boarding passes. Furthermore, using the Samsung Pass component in Wallet, users can store passwords and login information safely.
As far as availability by device is concerned, Samsung Wallet will be available for Galaxy phones running One UI 7. In other words, Wallet will be out for the Galaxy S25 series initially and later become available to more phones once the One UI 7 update rolls out to older models.
The digital car key component of Samsung Wallet works with a variety of cars, including the Volvo EX90, Polestar 3, Mini Cooper, Countryman (2024 or newer), KIA EV9, Hyundai KONA, and various BMW and Audi models.
Samsung also says that it has collaborated with KLM/Air France to allow boarding passes and Flying Blue Miles from affiliated airlines to be stored in the Wallet app.
As for security, Samsung Wallet is guarded by Samsung Knox and supports fingerprint-based authentication and data encryption.
