A few hours ago, Samsung started rolling out the stable version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17) for the Galaxy S26 series globally, outside South Korea and the US. Now, the brand has released another software update for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It brings the October 2026 security patch.

Samsung appears to have released the latest Galaxy S26 update first in Europe, which is unusual for the company, as it typically rolls out new software updates first in its home country, South Korea. Currently, there's no information on how many security issues it fixes, as the tech giant hasn't detailed it yet.

This could also be the first time Samsung has released a software update for a Galaxy smartphone just a few hours after rolling out a new version of One UI to it. The latest update is 544.15MB in size and carries firmware version S94xBXXS4BZIG (via Tarun Vats).
