Samsung has been quite busy with beta-testing One UI 9.0 for devices released before the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. So, it was late in rolling out the monthly security update to eligible Galaxy phones and tablets, and that update is now available for the Galaxy S26 more widely.
The new software update, which includes the August 2026 security patch, is now available for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra in India and some other countries. This update was first released in South Korea last week.
Besides fixes for dozens of security vulnerabilities, this update could also include a fix for the red display tint issue that has plagued some Galaxy S26 Ultra devices.
The update comes with firmware version S94xBXXS4AZHL and has a download size of over 500MB. You can check for the update on your Galaxy S26 series phone by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping the Check for updates button.
If the update hasn't been released in our region yet, keep checking for it, as Samsung will likely release it over the next few days.
