Samsung has finally released the stable Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The beta version of this software was released five months ago, and it has taken Samsung quite a long time to push the stable update.
The stable One UI 6 Watch software, which is based on Wear OS 5, is rolling out (via @tarunvats33) to the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in European countries. The update comes with firmware version R910XXU1CXK1 for the Galaxy Watch 5 (Wi-Fi model) and R920XXU1CXK1 for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (Wi-Fi model).
Here are more details and the full changelog:
The update has a download size of around 1.8GB, so it is a huge update for a smartwatch. It brings several new features to Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 series, including Galaxy AI-powered improved sleep tracking and analysis, Workout Routines, Double Pinch gesture, improved stock apps like Calendar and Samsung Health.
If you have a Galaxy Watch 5 series smartwatch and live in Europe, you should head over to Galaxy Wearable on your smartphone and navigate to Watch settings » Watch software update » Download and install.
