Last week, Samsung released a software update for the Galaxy Watch 6 that offered the January 2026 security patch. Back then, the brand offered it in South Korea, its home country. Now, the company has started rolling it out in more regions.
The non-cellular (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) variant of the Galaxy Watch 6 in India is getting a new software update (via Tarun Vats). It offers the January 2026 security patch, which fixes 55 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.
The update is 157.99MB in size and carries firmware version R950XXS1CZA1. To update your Galaxy Watch 6 to the latest firmware, go to Watch Settings > Watch software update > Download and install. As we speak, Samsung could be rolling out the update in other regions.
If you don't see an update, it means that Samsung hasn't made it available in your region, and you may have to wait longer. In the meantime, you may want to check out our video below, where we discuss the upgrades that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra may offer.
