Samsung may be moving up the launch of its next-generation foldable phones—Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7—compared to its previous-generation Galaxy Z devices. Apparently, Samsung is planning to hold the launch event for upcoming foldable phones in early July.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 could launch in early July
According to a report from The JoongAng, the launch event for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be held in early July in New York, USA. Last year, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 were announced on July 10, and an even earlier launch event means the upcoming devices could be announced in the first week of July.
New York is where Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 before switching to Seoul, South Korea for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Paris, France for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The report also claims that the company will also unveil a new Galaxy Watch and its first Android XR-based headset at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Apparently, Samsung will also tease the Galaxy Z Flip FE and its first tri-fold device during the event.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7: What specs to expect?
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will likely feature an edge-to-edge 4-inch cover screen and a 6.85-inch foldable inner screen. It could have a 50MP+12MP dual-camera setup on the outside and a 12MP selfie camera on the inside. It could be powered by a 4,300mAh battery and 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8.2-inch foldable screen. It could feature a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It could feature a 12MP selfie camera on the cover screen and an improved under-display camera on the inner screen. It could be powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
Both phones are expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, at least 12GB RAM, and at least 256GB storage. Both phones could have an IP48 rating, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C port. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be 4.5mm thin when it is unfolded and 9.5mm thin when it is folded.
