Yesterday, Samsung released the February 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S24 series. Now, the company is rolling out the latest security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition as well.
So far, the company has released the software update for the variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold SE that it sells in Korea, which have model numbers SM-F956N and SM-F958N. They carry firmware versions F956NKSS2AYAA and F958NKSS2AYAA.
The February 2025 security patch fixes a bunch of security issues, making the two devices more secure than before. You can check out all the changes here. Expect the South Korean tech giant to release the update to other variants of these smartphones in the next few weeks.
You can check for the latest update on your Galaxy device by going to Settings » Software updates » Download and install. You can also head to our firmware section, search for your device, download the latest firmware, and install it using Odin on a Windows PC.

Speaking of software updates, owners of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition are eagerly waiting for Android 15-based One UI 7.0. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed when it will release the new software to the two devices.
