Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 FE on September 4. It is the company's latest Fan Edition phone and succeeds 2024's Galaxy S24 FE. Besides upgrades such as an improved selfie camera, a bigger battery, and faster charging, the Galaxy S25 FE brings improved durability as well.
The Galaxy S25 FE uses an Enhanced Armor Aluminum frame, which makes it 10% stronger than the aluminum frame used in the Galaxy S24 FE. It is the same version of metal that is used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The phone's display is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus+, which helps the screen resist scratches, scuffs, and drops.
The new phone also features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It is resistant from dust, so you can take it to the beach without worrying sand and dust entering the phone. It can also resist fresh water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1.5 meters.
Overall, the Galaxy S25 FE is a pretty durable phone by modern phone standards. If you are still worried about dropping or breaking it, you should consider protecting it using one of Samsung's official cases and a tempered glass screen protector. You can also consider protective cases from well-regarded brands like Casetify, Elago, ESR, Otterbox, Ringke, Spigen, and Supcase.
