Samsung has announced a new partnership with telecommunications provider KPN in the Netherlands. The company says that this partnership will address a growing demand from customers who wanted the ability to bundle their device purchase with a eSIM subscription.
With this strategic partnership in place, customers won't only be able to buy their favorite smartphone at Samsung.com but they will also be able to activate a KPN eSIM for the device directly on Samsung's website.
Prior to this, customers could either purchase devices from Samsung.com outright or on a leasing plan in the Netherlands. This KPN partnership will improve convenience, enabling customers to manage their device purchase and phone plan in one place, completely digitally.
The activation for the new plan is done entirely only, so it's simpler and faster to switch providers. It also provides customers the freedom to choose if they want to buy their device on a contract to pay for it in installments without giving up their freedom of choice for a carrier.
Customers will remain eligible for any and all discounts, trade-in offers and other incentives offered to customers through Samsung.com. Those who already have a KPN internet or television connection will also get benefits when they create a mobile plan on Samsung.com.
They will include discounts on the mobile plans offered or extra mobile data. Combination discounts will also be available via Samsung.com to provide customers with more value for their money.
