After a slow start to the August 2026 security patch rollout, Samsung is finally picking up the pace. Earlier today, the brand released the update for the Galaxy S26 lineup, and now the company has started rolling it out to the Galaxy S25 series as well.
Samsung is rolling out the update first in its home country, South Korea. The update is 558.91MB in size and carries firmware version S93xNKSSCCZH2. The August 2026 security patch fixes 56 security issues, making the phone more secure.
Going by Samsung’s smartphone software update rollout history, the brand should release the latest Galaxy S25 series update in more countries over the next few days. You can check for its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
The Galaxy S25 series is currently running on One UI 8.5, and the three phones are eligible to get the tech giant’s next custom Android interface, One UI 9.0. Based on Android 17, it offers a plethora of new UI customization options and new features, which you can check out below.
