Samsung is expected to announce four new high-end phones early next year: the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. Interestingly, these four devices will collectively use three different processors, which is likely a first in Samsung's recent history.
All four Galaxy S27 series phones were spotted in the Niubaide (NBD) database by Notebookcheck. According to the listing, the Galaxy S27 (SM-S952B/DS) and Galaxy S27+ (SM-S956B/DS) will use Samsung's in-house Exynos 2700 chip in Europe.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Pro (SM-S957B/DS) appears to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, while the top-of-the-line Galaxy S27 Ultra features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip. All four chips are made using a 2nm process.
The trade data also reveals that the Galaxy S27 features a 6.3-inch screen. The Galaxy S27+ sports a 6.7-inch display, while the Galaxy S27 Pro sits in between with a 6.5-inch panel. The Galaxy S27 Ultra retains a 6.9-inch display, matching its predecessor. Additionally, all four phones appear to offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of base storage as standard.
Previously, Samsung used a single Snapdragon chip across its entire flagship lineup. For instance, this year, the company utilized the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy inside the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
That strategy looks set to change next year, with Samsung apparently ready to adopt a step-down Snapdragon chip for the Galaxy S27 Pro while reserving the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 exclusively for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
