A new security update has been released for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. This update brings the latest security patch, dated November 1, to Samsung's 2023 Galaxy S flagship lineup. The same update was released for the Galaxy S24 series on November 4.
Like the Galaxy S24 series' update, the one for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra debuted in the USA for carrier-locked variants. It should, however, go live for unlocked variants and in other markets before the week is over. You can identify the November update by the build number S911xSQS5CXI8.
There's nothing interesting in this update other than security enhancements, which is hardly surprising as Samsung is busy preparing the One UI 7.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 and other eligible devices. Samsung hasn't detailed what security fixes are included in the November 2024 update for Galaxy devices at the time of writing, but that should change before the end of the week as well.
To download the latest update on your Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra, head into the phone's Settings » Software update menu and select Download and install. You can also download Galaxy S23 series firmware from our website and use them as an alternative method of updating your phone to the latest available software.
