It's no secret that Samsung's working on the One UI 7 release. Its development teams are internally testing builds on compatible devices. If the current expectations hold true, the One UI 7 beta program may be launched before the end of this year with a stable release slated for early 2025.
There's a long list of devices compatible with One UI 7. It includes mid-range devices like the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33. It had emerged that these devices were on the test bench as well and it appears that the development work on their One UI 7 builds is progressing very nicely.
We first heard as far back as August 2024 that the Android 15 One UI 7 builds were being developed for the Galaxy A73, Galaxy A54, and the Galaxy A53. The Galaxy A3x models are on the list as well. That's hardly surprising, since these are some of Samsung's best-selling mid-range phones.
The builds that Samsung is testing internally for the aforementioned two devices have now been spotted bearing firmware version A736BXXUAFXK6 for the Galaxy A73 and A336BXXUCFXK6 for the Galaxy A33.
While these devices may not be in the priority list for the release as the flagship phones are always prioritized for major software released, at least this goes to show that the development work on the software upgrade for these devices isn't that far behind. Ideally, there won't be too much of a wait between the time the update is released for flagships and when it ultimately arrives on mid-range devices.
