Samsung’s upcoming Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for Galaxy smartphones and tablets is going to offer massive improvements, especially in terms of design. According to a previous leak, one of those changes is a redesigned quick settings section in the notification bar. Along with a redesigned brightness slider, it will offer a volume adjustment bar as well, and both are combined in a single widget. Well, as it turns out, there’s more than what meets the eye.
In Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1, you can add, remove, and change the positions of quick settings toggle. However, you can’t do ticker with the brightness adjustment slider. Fortunately, in One UI 7.0, you will be able to do exactly that.
According to a post from @BuligaDavidCri1 on X, you will be able to add, remove, or customise the positing of the brightness and volume adjustment widget in the quick settings panel. This is something that Apple’s iOS 18 offers as well.
Being able to customise the brightness and volume adjustment panel will give you complete control over the layout/look of the quick settings section, allowing you personalise it just how you want it. That, we think, is a great feature. You can check out other changes that One UI 7.0 will offer in our video below.
Samsung is expected to roll out the beta version of the new software to select devices by the end of this week. You can check out if your Galaxy smartphone or tablet is eligible for the update here.
