One UI's Live Notifications feature is pretty useful. Introduced with One UI 7, they update in real time for things like sport scores, timer, or music playback so you can get more done without having to launch the relevant app.
There aren't a lot of third-party apps that take advantage of this feature on Samsung devices just yet, but that may be set to change with Uber gaining support for Live Notifications on One UI 8.
The Uber integration for One UI 8 Live Notifications, spotted by SammyGuru, would enable you to track your ride through this feature without having to jump back into the ridesharing app every time.
This integration is reportedly visible in an internal One UI 8 build for the Galaxy A34. It's not fully enabled yet as there's only a toggle in the relevant settings menu right now, but at least it shows that the groundwork is being laid for the eventual rollout of the feature.
It remains to be seen what the notification itself will look like and what relevant information it may display from the Uber app, but considering that this is one of the most widely used transportation apps in the world, the feature is going to make lives easier for a whole lot of users.
Samsung is still putting the final touches on its One UI 8 update for eligible devices, with the new foldables being the ones that come with it out of the box. The company has said that it's going to start rolling out the stable One UI 8 update in September.
