Samsung Japan recently published the release timeline for the stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update for eligible Galaxy phones and tablets, which could hint at the release timeframe for other countries and regions.
The company plans to release the One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in mid-October. The Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24 FE, will receive it in late October, while the Galaxy S23 series will follow in early November. The Galaxy S23 FE will get the update later, in mid-January 2027.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 will get the update this month. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will receive One UI 9.0 in early or mid-November, depending on the carrier network the device is registered on.

Since One UI updates are usually released in Japan a few weeks after they roll out to most other countries and regions globally, you can expect your eligible Galaxy device to receive the update a few days before the timelines mentioned in the list above.
