Samsung has announced that Quick Share will support AirDrop on Galaxy devices. This new feature is expected to make millions of Galaxy users happy, as it will them to effortlessly share files wirelessly with Apple device users. The feature will roll out to compatible Galaxy phones and tablets through an upcoming update.

AirDrop support for Galaxy devices will begin rolling out on March 23, 2026, starting with the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It will become available via a software update that will first be released in South Korea, followed by other countries and markets. The update is expected to reach Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan soon after.

Google added AirDrop support to Quick Share on Pixel devices a few months ago, initially limited to the Pixel 10 series. It was later expanded to the Pixel 9 series. A recent leak revealed that the same feature is coming to Galaxy devices. And with its new announcement, Samsung has officially become the second Android smartphone brand to offer native AirDrop support on its devices.

With this feature, millions of iPhone and Galaxy devices will be able to share files and content wirelessly with each other. The compatibility is also expected to extend to iPads and Macs, allowing users to send and receive files across Apple and Samsung ecosystems.
