Samsung Electronics America has announced a new partnership with Lark Health in the United States to brand AI-powered prevention and chronic-care support for adults aged 65 years or older through Samsung Health.
This collaboration kicks off with Lark's Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program open for eligible users.
This is the first phase of a wider rollout which will include tech-supported chronic care through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' ACCESS Model. Through ACCESS, eligible Samsung Health users may also have access to more Lark programs that support cardiometabolic and behavioral-health conditions.
The Lark Health program includes 24/7 AI-powered coaching and health tracking through a Samsung smartphone. The program helps users build sustainable habits around sleep, stress, nutrition, and physical activity.
Samsung users will be able to access the program based on their eligibility for Medicare and other qualification requirements, including having Medicare Part B and not having an active diabetes diagnosis. Eligible program members will also have access to live clinical resources and healthcare tools.
Those who don't qualify for Lark's Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program may instead be offered Lark Prevention. This is a separate one-year prevention program that's available at no additional cost to the user, a $249 annual value otherwise.
This program ensures that they can access digital coaching and tools that help them build healthier daily habits even if they don't meet the eligibility requirements for the Medicare program.
