Samsung has announced a new update for its Samsung Health platform to increase ease of access to professional care. Users will now be able to book virtual doctor visits directly from within the app.
Users can also connect directly with Walgreens pharmacies through the Health Records' prescription tracking feature for easy prescription tracking. Other improvements have also been made to further support users' in keeping on top of their medical care.
The virtual doctor visits are powered by HealthTap. It's a leading virtual primary care practice in the US that provides digital access to board-certified physicians licensed in the United States.
Users can establish an ongoing relationship with one doctor and send follow up messages between visits to manage new symptoms, chronic conditions, and even get help for preventive screens and prescriptions.
Walgreens is one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States. With this integration, Samsung Health users can track their prescription, compare existing and past medications as well as manage their prescription data from the Health Records feature.
Lastly, new premium fitness content from iFit has been added. Users can find expert-guided workouts within Samsung Health that covers everything from high-intensity interval training to Pilates. The fitness content is available for users in the US, UK, New Zealand, India, Italy, Australia, France, Spain, Canada, and Germany.
All of these features will roll out from September 8 in Samsung Health.
