As scheduled, Samsung has launched the Galaxy F06 5G smartphone in India. Starting at INR 9,999, it is now the brand’s most affordable 5G smartphone in the country. It is the also brand's second phone with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 out of the box.
The device offers an excellent set of features for its price, and being affordable, it has the potential to become one of the brand’s best sellers in the country. Let’s check out variant-wise prices, specifications, and design.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy A06 5G in India in two configurations: 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The company has priced the base variant at INR 9,999 and the top-end variant at INR 11,499.
Samsung makes F-series devices exclusively for Flipkart, and the Galaxy F06 5G is no different. It will be available exclusively through the e-commerce platform starting on 20 February 2025. The brand is offering the phone in two colors, Bahama Blue and Lit Violet.
The back panels of both colors are very unique, mimicking how the water looks in a large water body when viewed from above, something that we haven’t seen on Samsung phones before. People will either love it or hate it. You can check them in the images below.
Like most other entry-level smartphones from Samsung, the Galaxy F06 5G features a 6.7-inch LCD with HD+ resolution. The company says that in the high brightness mode, it can offer 800 nits of brightness. There are no details about the screen protection yet.
There are two cameras at the rear: a 50MP unit and a 2MP unit. The former has a wide lens, which means that it is the primary camera and the phone uses the latter as a depth sensor. There’s also an LED flash accompanying the two cameras. The primary camera can record video at up to 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. At the front, there is an 8MP camera.

The Galaxy F06 5G has the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. Featuring 2x Cortex-A76 CPU cores, 6x Cortex-A55 CPU cores, and ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, it is quite a powerful chip for the price of the device. Samsung claims that the phone can score more than 416,000 points in AnTuTu. As mentioned earlier, Samsung has paired it with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Samsung is shipping the phone with Android 15-based One UI 7.0, and the company will offer four new versions of Android (and One UI) and four years of security updates to the device, which is something that no other brand is offering at this price point. Samsung has also highlighted that the phone has Voice Focus, which can reduce background noise in calls to provide better call quality, and that it comes with Quick Share for quick file sharing.
The Galaxy F06 5G has a 5,000mAh battery and it supports charging at up to 25W. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a single speaker, and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 1.5 TB. Samsung says that the phone supports 12 5G bands, ensuring compatibility with 5G networks offered by all the network carriers in India. Other connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port.
