In August 2025, Samsung launched the Galaxy A17 5G in Ireland, the first country where the brand introduced the smartphone. Since then, the company launched the device in Taiwan, the UK, India, and the US. Now, the tech giant has launched the Galaxy A17 5G in Canada.

Samsung is offering the Galaxy A17 5G in Canada in only one memory and storage configuration, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and only one color option, Black. The brand has priced it at $269.99. The phone is available to purchase from the brand’s official website.

The Galaxy A17 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone features the Exynos 1330 SoC and runs on One UI 7 (Android 15). The device has three cameras at the rear: a 50MP primary unit, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, there is a 13MP camera. 

The Galaxy A17 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 25W fast charging. The phone’s connectivity options include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port. For security and privacy, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is also IP54 water and dust-resistant.
