Samsung is holding the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California tomorrow. At the event, the company is going to launch its new flagship lineup of non-foldable smartphones, the Galaxy S25 series. However, the brand might have planned a very special surprise for us at the event, a deeper look at the company’s upcoming XR headset, Project Moohan.
According to a new report from Business Korea, Samsung might showcase the Project Moohan XR headset, which it revealed earlier this month, at the Galaxy Unpacked event tomorrow. If that turns out to be true, we might get our first hands-on experience with the product.
Along with that, the publication claims that the brand might also bless people with teaser videos of its upcoming XR headset at the event. Both things will give us more information about Samsung’s rival to Apple Vision Pro and Meta’s Quest 3, and we are very excited about it.
Samsung has developed the Project Moohan XR headset in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm. The product uses Google’s all-new operating system — Android XR — which is made for XR headsets and most likely uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset.
When the tech giant revealed Project Moohan earlier this month, it gave us very few details about the product. Since then, Google revealed a few more details about the product, including that it will support Find My Device and gave us a look at two app viewing modes it offers. But there’s still a lot we don’t know about the product. Hopefully, that will change tomorrow.
