Usually, as soon as a month begins, Samsung announces that month’s security patch for Galaxy smartphones by revealing what changes it brings, and then starts rolling it out. However, that wasn’t the case this time around. The brand started rolling out the April 2026 security patch without telling us what changes it brings. Now, we finally have information about what it offers.
Samsung has revealed details about the April 2026 security patch for Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and wearables. According to the brand, it addresses forty-seven security issues. Among the 47 fixes, thirty-three come from Google as part of the Android Security Bulletin for April 2026, ten are from Samsung Mobile, and four come from Samsung Semiconductor.
Among the 33 Google fixes, 14 have been marked as critical, 18 as high-severity, and 1 as moderate-severity. According to Samsung, Google’s Android Security Bulletin for April 2026 offers 17 additional fixes. However, the South Korean tech giant offered 6 among them with the previous security update, and 11 are not applicable to Galaxy devices.
Coming to the 4 fixes from Samsung Semiconductor, all of them have been marked as high severity. As for the 10 Samsung Mobile fixes, three have been marked as high severity and 5 as moderate, whereas, the the severity of the last one is unknown.
