The MICRO LED Beaty Mirror may be the most outstanding product Samsung unveiled at CES 2025 earlier today. Or, at the very least, it was among the CES reveals that drew one of the biggest crowds.
The name says it all, and there are no cheap tricks involved. Samsung's Beauty Mirror is a thin slab of advanced technology that combines the basic functionality of a regular mirror with the advanced capabilities of a modern smart TV and the perks of visiting a beauty salon.
The almost magical MICRO LED Beauty Mirror was developed in partnership with Korea's leading cosmetic brand, Amorepacific.
Using innovative Amorepacific beauty solutions, Samsung's Beauty Mirror can analyze individual skin types and offer users tailored self-care product recommendations. All it takes is gazing into it for only about half a minute.
The Beauty Mirror can analyze skin characteristics such as wrinkles, pores, pigmentation, and erythema.
Amorepacific developed the algorithm using more than 20,000 clinically labeled skin diagnoses, enabling an accuracy factor of over 85%. Needless to say, lots of AI technologies are at play here.
Aside from its smart capabilities, the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror impresses through its reflective characteristics.
Thanks to innovative technologies, i.e., an aluminum and niobium micro-pattern structure, the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror provides a true-to-life mirror-like experience.
Samsung says this impressive panel can deliver more than 80% reflectance and >90% transmittance.
The one downside to all this is that we don't yet have a release date or price attached to the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror. It's unclear if it will remain a CES 2025 showcase or become a real product to be sold later this year.
Nevertheless, it is impressive and captured the attention of nearly everyone at CES, so Samsung might be onto something.
