Samsung has released an update to the Expert RAW app for Galaxy phones and tablets. The official changelog only mentions improved quality, which could mean the quality improvements will be available across compatible devices.
A new update to the Expert RAW app is now available via the Galaxy Store. It is a 5.51MB update with app version 4.0.02.7. Samsung claims this update improves the quality and fixes bugs. However, it doesn't mention if these quality improvements are for a specific model (or models). So, it is likely that the improvements will be available on most compatible Galaxy devices.
The changelog is only updated in the Korean version of the Galaxy Store. The Indian version of the Galaxy Store doesn't have an official changelog. It is possible that Samsung has made improvements for the Galaxy S25 series.
The Expert RAW app is an additional camera app designed by Samsung for professionals who know how to tinker with camera settings to achieve desired changes and results. It was released three years ago, and the Galaxy S21 series was the first to support it. This app is only supported by high-end Galaxy devices in the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Z series.
You can adjust camera settings, including aperture (virtual), color temperature, exposure value (EV), ISO, and shutter speed. It also lets you play with Multiple Exposure and Neutral Density (ND) Filter strength settings.
The Astrophoto option lets you capture night sky images with stars, planets, and other celestial objects. The Astro Portrait option, which was released last year, allows you to capture an image of the night sky in the background and people in the foreground.
