Last week, Samsung released the March 2025 security patch, which fixes 58 security issues. In the Galaxy S series, the brand first offered it to the Galaxy S24. Now, the company is rolling out the latest security update to the phones in the lineup from 2023, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
For now, Samsung has made the update available only to the carrier-locked variant of the three devices for the US, which have model number SM-S911U, SM-S916U, and SM-S918U. The update changes the firmware versions of these devices to S911USQS6CYB3, S916USQS6CYB3, and S918USQS6CYB3.
You can get it by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also get it by downloading it from our database and installing it using Odin.
Considering Samsung’s software update rollout history, the South Korean tech giant should release the March 2025 security patch to other variants of the Galaxy S23, including carrier-unlocked and international models in the next few days. If you are a Galaxy S23 user, you might be wondering about when Samsung will release Android 15-based One UI 7.0. Last week, the brand revealed that it would open the One UI 7 Beta program for the lineup. Unfortunately, we don’t know when. Rumours suggest that it may arrive in the next few days. Expect a stable version in a month after that.
