While many Exynos chips faced overheating, throttling, and efficiency issues in the past, Samsung improved in-house processors with each generation since the Exynos 2400. Although the Exynos 2700 is rumored to be the company's best chip yet, the Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra could still stick to Snapdragon chips.
Despite multiple reports about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip facing performance issues and the Exynos 2700 performing better than its Snapdragon counterpart in Samsung's own testing, it appears Samsung has decided to stick with Snapdragon chips for the Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra in the South Korean market.
Tipster yeux1122 claims that Samsung's decision to stick with Snapdragon chips for its two top-tier Galaxy S27 series phones is driven by financial constraints. Apparently, the company's design and component selection process is entirely focused on cost reduction.
The Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27+ will most likely use the Exynos 2700 chip in most global markets, including Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and South Korea. In North America, however, those phones could come equipped with Snapdragon chips.
